After completing Dental School at the University of Manitoba in 2009, Dr. Cadigan worked with his father who was a dentist in Winnipeg for a year before he moved to Vancouver and purchased Chatham Dental Centre in 2010 from Dr. Barbara Bradey; a clinic that has been around since the 1980s. On arrival to BC he fostered his professional relationships by becoming a member of the Vancouver & District Dental Society (VDDS), AO Fraternity, and teaching at the UBC faculty of dentistry GP Clinic. As a VDDS member he has also been a member of the board of directors since 2013 and as acting president from 2019-2021. He has been active in dental implant study clubs and hones his skill in implant surgery with the BITES Institute Live Surgery Study Club in Burnaby.

Dr. Patrizia Cannata— better known as Dr. Patty — is an associate dentist at Chatham Dental Centre. She graduated from Dental School at Western University in London, Ontario. Dr. Patty was born and raised in Sudan, where she originally graduated from dental school in 2009 became, and she is fluent in all dialects of Arabic. Meanwhile, Dr. Patty’s is also conversant in Italian.
Deep Bhullar is a hygienist with Chatham Dental Centre. She has been working in the industry since 2009. She studied dental hygiene at Durham University in Toronto, prior to which she completed the certified dental assistant program at Vancouver Community College. Deep is fluent in both Hindi and Punjabi.
In her spare time Deep enjoys spending time with her nieces, going for walks & hikes, and watching hockey.
As a hygienist Deep loves seeing the joy her work can bring to her patients: “I’m very people-oriented. Everyone likes clean teeth, and I love seeing the smile on a patient’s face when we’re done.”
Alix Ruttan is the front desk administrator at Chatham Dental Centre. Alix gained experience working in an administrative role both at a law firm and as a court clerk. Previous to that she worked in the Public Safety sector in a probation office. Alix spent her childhood in Japan and is fluent in Japanese, albeit a little out of practice. At the age of 12 she & her family moved back to Canada where upon their return they settled into beautiful Steveston.
Alix is interested in interior design and loves animals.In her free time she enjoys riding her bike, and playing both golf and basketball.
Alix has a warm cheerful demeanour that shines through in her interactions with the Chatham Dental clients. She is happy to be working in the community that she & her family have such a strong connection to. Alix was pleasantly surprised by the environment that welcomed her at Chatham Dental Centre. “It feels less formal than other dental clinics. It’s welcoming and supportive and you can tell the clients really like the staff,” she said.
Tracy Jensen is the Treatment Coordinator at Chatham Dental Centre. Knowing Tracy prior to her joining the team as treatment coordinator, Dr. Cadigan recognized that her empathetic and sincere nature would be ideal in making the clients feel more comfortable. As the treatment coordinator, Tracy works with patients to help them understand their treatment options, navigate the insurance process, and ultimately feel more comfortable and confident with their treatment plan choice.
Tracy, a mother of two, loves camping, fishing, gardening and pretty much anything outdoors that allows her time with the family. Tracy is passionate about animals as well as sports, both watching and playing.
Tracy truly enjoys her role at Chatham Dental Centre: “I love talking with people, listening, getting to know them.”
Cat Chao started her career as a dental assistant with Chatham Dental Centre. After graduating from BCIT, Cat worked in the financial sector, which while she enjoyed, she wanted to move into a career with more interaction with people. Cat is fluent in Mandarin.
In her leisure time, Cat enjoys baking and crafting. She is enthusiastic in handcrafts and calligraphy which bring her peace and joy. She especially loves family time, doing activities such as riding bikes and painting with her young son.
Cat loves the fast-paced nature of the job at Chatham Dental Centre. Her attention to detail ensures day-to-day workflow supports the efficiency of the team. She is passionate about her role, enjoying that everyday is different & exciting: “I love what I do cause the dentist needs a hero too!”
Palloma Marreiros joined Chatham Dental Centre as a dental assistant. She studied dentistry in Brazil where she worked as a dentist for 11 years before moving to Canada in 2019. She is fluent in Portuguese.
Palloma loves spending her free time swimming and hiking with her family. She especially enjoys taking her daughter to the local swimming pool.
Palloma couldn’t be happier to be a part of the team at Chatham Dental Centre: “I like everything about it here. The people, the procedures, the environment, everything.”
Regine is the receptionist with Chatham Dental Centre. During the week she works as an accounting associate at a restoration company and is currently going to school to complete her CPA designation.
With her free time Regine loves to watch movies & documentaries.She likes going for hikes & is excited to start travelling again soon but in the meantime she is enjoying her local restaurants.
Regine really enjoys interacting with both the staff and the clients at Chatham Dental Centre: “What I love about Chatham is their friendly family environment.”
Shirley Ye is a hygienist at Chatham Dental Centre. She was born in GuangZhou, China and moved to Canada 20 years ago. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto, then studied dental hygiene at the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene. Health Science has been a passion of Shirley’s since she was a young girl. Dental hygiene allows her to combine this passion with her love of developing relationships. Shirley strives to achieve a confident and healthy smile for all her patients. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
In her spare time, Shirley enjoys travelling, taking scenic walks, singing, drawing and especially loves delicious food.
Shirley brings a lot of enthusiasm & energy to Chatham Dental Centre. She truly enjoys the team environment: “The people here are very welcoming and we sincerely care about the patients. We’re just a great team and it feels united.”
